Draw results are out, bonus points and pheasant tag for me. If anyone has info on the area for pheasant hunting down by Yuma I'd appreciate any info, I have the last hunt.

karl i've done this hunt several times, you should be getting a map from the game and fish officer in that area. the hunting changes every year based on crop rotation so look for new crops sprouting ajasent to cut or standing cotton. get to some vantage point and glass......yes glass the new crop fields for birds.. then try to position yourself useing the canals. teaming up with another is the best and you can kinda do a drive (deer style). same if you end up chasing them into the cotton you can do a drive with multiple dogs. its still quite hot then (90's-100's)in the afternoon, pretty cool till 10 ish so be prepared for you and dogs. stay at the motel 6 just off the free way the are very dog friendly. let me know if you want some more details.

Wow, sounds like an extremely busy October for you all, but will be fun. By the way, miss seeing you all at the trials.
